Linux Audio Setup
Audio on Linux uses PulseAudio and should work automatically if running as a regular user.
Please use the tools provided by the system to configure the audio, e.g. the Ubuntu Sound settings.
The default audio latency is set to 10 ms. If needed, it is possible to change this with the PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC environment variable, e.g. PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=20 for 20 ms.

System-wide PulseAudio
If you are running Player or Streamer as root, you need to run PulseAudio system-wide.
See https://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/PulseAudio/Documentation/User/SystemWide/ for more information.
